**This free AI Tools for Marketers course teaches you to select software, design useful workflows and review the work before it reaches customers. Build a practical system for research, creative production, language, analysis and automation, with clear controls for evidence, rights, privacy and cost. The aim is accepted marketing work, not a larger tool collection or a promise of effortless results.**

> **Key takeaways**
>
> - Choose tools for defined jobs and compare complete workflows.
> - Verify sources, calculations, identity permissions and final assets.
> - Use real tools without confusing access, capability and authority.
> - Measure accepted output, full cost and operational reliability.

*Checked 8 November 2026 (CET) against the official sources cited throughout the track. Operating methods are editorial recommendations, not product benchmarks or legal advice. Ledgerline is fictional accounts-payable software; all scenarios, quantities, costs and outcomes used for teaching are illustrative.*

## Who is this course for?

This course is for marketers who need to make AI-assisted work useful and reviewable across several tools. It suits content, product marketing, creative, lifecycle, demand generation and marketing operations teams. You do not need to code, but you do need to understand the work you are asking software to help perform.

The course is deliberately not another complete ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or n8n course. Those tracks already cover their products in depth. Here, the unit of learning is a marketing workflow: what enters, what changes, what evidence survives and who accepts the result.

Use the [ChatGPT track](https://mentionx.ai/learn/chatgpt/chatgpt-for-marketers), [Claude track](https://mentionx.ai/learn/claude/claude-for-marketers), [Gemini track](https://mentionx.ai/learn/gemini/gemini-for-marketers), [Perplexity track](https://mentionx.ai/learn/perplexity/perplexity-for-marketers) and [n8n track](https://mentionx.ai/learn/n8n/n8n-for-marketers) when you need deeper vendor-specific practice. This course links to relevant existing lessons instead of repeating their setup instructions.

## What will you build?

You will build an opportunity register, task-based evaluation scorecard, workflow contract, claim ledger and brand context pack. You will then apply those controls to language, images, video, voice, transcripts, presentations and analysis. The final lessons address integrations, agent permissions, procurement, rights and operating review.

Each lesson includes a worked Ledgerline example, a usable artefact, practical exercise, quiz and common questions. The exercises can begin with synthetic or permitted sample material. Do not upload sensitive data or connect live action tools merely to complete a lesson.

The capstone is a small approved workflow with a clear purpose, evidence trail, acceptance standard, permission boundary and complete-cost review. A successful outcome can be a decision not to automate a task whose inputs or consequences make it inappropriate.

## Which real tools appear in the course?

The course uses named products where their current documentation supports the teaching. Adobe Firefly and Photoshop illustrate image workflows; Adobe Express illustrates controlled templates. Runway illustrates generative shot production. HeyGen illustrates presenter consent and video translation. ElevenLabs and Descript illustrate speech, transcription and audio review.

DeepL provides concrete terminology and style-rule distinctions. Microsoft Copilot in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI illustrates analytical, presentation and narrative workflows. Google's current documentation calls its source-research product Gemini Notebook. AI by Zapier provides current examples of tool calling, approval controls and integration migration.

These are not universal recommendations or a ranked buying list. Eligibility, product modes, model choices, languages, regions and terms vary. A feature described in documentation may require a particular account, administrative setting or paid plan. Every production workflow should verify its actual configuration.

## Start with the job and its evidence

| Lesson | What you will produce |
|---|---|
| [Build a useful AI workflow portfolio](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-workflow-portfolio) | An opportunity register with eligible pilots and explicit holds |
| [Evaluate tools with a task-based scorecard](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-selection-evaluation) | A bounded comparison using representative work and hard gates |
| [Design briefs and human handoffs](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-briefs-handoffs) | An input-output contract with evidence and approval state |
| [Verify research with a claim ledger](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-research-verification) | Sentence-level support, scope and unresolved questions |
| [Build brand context and controls](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-brand-context-controls) | A versioned pack of facts, terminology, examples and permissions |

Work through these lessons before expanding a tool stack. Poor source definitions and unclear approvals tend to become more expensive when they are connected to faster production.

## Produce creative work without losing meaning

| Lesson | What you will produce |
|---|---|
| [Review copy and localisation](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-copy-localisation-qa) | A meaning-based language brief and final-format QA record |
| [Brief and select generated images](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-image-generation-briefs) | A rights-aware visual brief and selection rubric |
| [Check image edits and design](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-image-editing-design-qa) | An edit map protecting factual elements and accessibility |
| [Plan AI video production](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-video-production-workflow) | A shot plan separating conceptual footage from real evidence |
| [Control presenters and video translation](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-avatars-video-localisation) | An identity, script, language and distribution approval pack |
| [Produce voice and audio responsibly](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-voice-audio-production) | A pronunciation test, listening log and authorised final take |
| [Verify transcripts, quotes and captions](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-transcription-interview-qa) | Distinct raw, corrected and editorial source records |

The purpose is not to make every asset synthetic. Real recordings, approved screenshots, commissioned work, ordinary design tools and manual editing remain valid production choices. Use the method that preserves the message and meets the acceptance standard.

## Analyse and communicate with reviewable methods

| Lesson | What you will produce |
|---|---|
| [Build evidence-led presentations](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-presentations-evidence-design) | A slide-level message and evidence map with export review |
| [Check spreadsheet analysis](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-spreadsheet-analysis-checks) | Defined metrics, reconciled calculations and a reproducible method |
| [Review analytics narratives](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-analytics-reporting-narratives) | A summary tied to report state, with hypotheses labelled |

Do not confuse a fluent explanation with a valid analysis. Check data grain, denominators, comparison windows and refresh behaviour before approving a recommendation. A generated chart or footnote can help review but does not prove causation.

## Connect, govern and measure the workflow

| Lesson | What you will produce |
|---|---|
| [Design reliable integrations](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-integrations-automation-contracts) | A data contract, failure table and controlled cutover plan |
| [Bound agent permissions and approvals](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-agent-approvals-security) | A tool matrix, adversarial test set and stop plan |
| [Review privacy and procurement](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-privacy-procurement) | A scoped data-flow and permitted-use record |
| [Review rights, disclosure and editorial truth](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-copyright-disclosure-review) | Separate input, output, identity and final-context checks |
| [Measure ROI and run the operating review](https://mentionx.ai/learn/ai-tools/ai-tools-roi-operations-review) | A complete-cost decision to continue, revise, pause or retire |

Drafting and acting are different responsibilities. An agent with connected tools can create consequences that a text-only assistant cannot. Keep exact approval and recovery controls close to the action, and do not rely on prompt wording alone.

## How should you work through the course?

Follow the lessons in order if you are building a new operating model. If you already have a clear workflow, use the relevant production lessons while checking the evidence, permission and cost controls around them. Keep one small project as your running example so the artefacts connect.

Use permitted inputs and retain originals. Record the actual account, model, relevant settings and date for any tool-dependent exercise. Do not copy a product limit or plan assumption into a long-lived procedure without a review trigger.

Ask another person to review your handoff. They should be able to identify the source, uncertainty, status and allowed next step without reading your entire conversation with a tool. That test often reveals more practical weaknesses than another round of prompt polishing.

## What does this course not promise?

It does not promise guaranteed time savings, revenue, legal compliance, copyright protection or public AI-search citations. Internal research citations and public search visibility are different mechanisms. Named tools are examples of documented capabilities, not independent evidence that they outperform every alternative.

The course also avoids fixed prices and unnecessary quotas. Those details change by plan, region, model and account. The durable skill is knowing which facts must be checked and how to make a bounded decision when uncertainty remains.

## Capstone: approve one small workflow

Choose one recurring job and write its purpose, baseline and acceptance standard. Build the relevant brief, evidence record, permitted-use boundary and review checklist. Test ordinary cases, difficult cases and a case where the correct response is to stop.

Record all preparation, attempts, review, correction and operating effort. Approve only the actual final output for a named use. Then make an explicit continue, revise, pause or retire decision with an owner and next review trigger. A small dependable workflow is a stronger result than a large unreviewable tool collection.
