# Analysing GA4 Exports with Claude and ChatGPT

## Check before you share

1. Pick two figures from the answer (for example, AI Assistant sessions in October).
2. Find them in GA4 for the same date range.
3. If they differ, check the export filter, date range and whether the assistant summed the wrong column.

> **Pro move:** add the property's data notes (retention, consent mode, any channel rule change such as the AI Assistant channel) to the prompt. The assistant will then flag step changes caused by configuration rather than by marketing.

*Our view:* AI assistants are good at arithmetic on a clean table and at drafting the narrative. They are not a substitute for knowing how GA4 counts. That is what lessons 1-18 are for.
