Executive summary

Status: Research in progress. This page documents scope and methodology. No statistics below are live data — aggregates will appear only after the cohort batch scan completes and passes QA.

(To be completed from stored scan aggregates.)

The MentionX AI Visibility Report 2026 will answer:

  1. What percentage of SaaS brands in our cohort appear in AI recommendations on category prompts?
  2. How do mention rates differ across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity?
  3. Which citation domain types dominate (reviews, community, owned, Wikipedia)?
  4. Is share of voice concentrated in category leaders or fragmented?
  5. What is the mention–citation gap prevalence (named but not cited, cited but not named)?

Why this report exists

Enterprise buyers and marketers ask for category benchmarks. Most “AI SEO reports” repackage anecdotes.

MentionX will publish benchmarks only from:

  • A defined cohort (target: 100 B2B SaaS brands)
  • A fixed prompt methodology (Methodology)
  • Immutable stored responses per engine run
  • Deterministic scoring (mention rate, SOV, citation share)

Same infrastructure customers use. The report is product proof, not content marketing fiction.
