Why did he build MentionX?

After years in B2B SaaS marketing, Dipuck couldn't find a tool that answered a question buyers' behaviour was forcing on marketers: when people ask AI assistants for recommendations, is AI recommending us, or someone else? He began building MentionX as a solo founder in 2026 to answer it. The product separates being mentioned from being recommended, which is the idea behind the recommendation rate metric he writes about. It now tracks ten AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek.

Why MentionX Learn?

AI search is changing quickly, and much of the advice about it is speculative or based on figures nobody can trace. MentionX Learn exists to give marketers a free, structured way to learn GEO: courses, guides, templates and learning paths grounded in official platform documentation and transparent methods. The aim is practical skills a marketer can use the same week.
