Meta Ads for Marketers: Free Course (2026)
Free Meta Ads course: Advantage+ campaigns, Pixel and CAPI, creative diversification, Andromeda, lead ads, attribution and reporting.
Meta Ads for Marketers is a free, practical 20-lesson track on advertising across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, Audience Network and WhatsApp Status. You will set up Business Manager correctly, run the Advantage+ campaign experience that is now the default for Sales, Leads and App promotion, wire the Meta Pixel with the Conversions API, build creatives that work with Meta Andromeda, and measure incremental results with attribution settings and Conversion Lift. Later lessons cover catalog and shopping, B2B lead ads, Click-to-WhatsApp, Threads and WhatsApp Status placements, special ad categories, GA4 and Looker Studio reporting, and how Meta Ads sit next to AI search discovery.
- 20 lessons: foundations and Advantage+, measurement and creative, formats and messaging, then testing, reporting and the monthly routine.
- Reflects the November 2026 product: Advantage+ as the default campaign experience for Sales, Leads and App promotion, Advantage+ audience and placements, creative diversification with Meta Andromeda, Advantage+ creative generative AI tools, Threads ads, WhatsApp Status ads, and incremental attribution alongside Conversion Lift.
- Every lesson includes a Ledgerline walkthrough, an exercise, a quiz and a checklist.
- Steps checked against Meta Business Help Center, Meta for Developers and the Meta for Business posts cited in Sources.
Checked 5 November 2026 (CET) against Meta Business Help Center, Meta for Developers docs, Meta for Business news posts and the Ads Manager UI labels cited in Sources. Meta renames and rolls out features by account, so confirm labels and availability in your own Ads Manager. "Our view" marks MentionX opinion. Ledgerline is a fictional company used for illustration.

03How is the track organised?
Foundations (lessons 1-5). How Meta's auction, Andromeda retrieval and ranking work in 2026; Business Manager hygiene; the Advantage+ campaign experience; objectives, budgets and bidding; Advantage+ audience and placements.
Measurement and creative (lessons 6-9). Pixel plus Conversions API, Events Manager and Aggregated Event Measurement status, creative diversification for Andromeda, and Advantage+ creative generative AI tools.
Formats and messaging (lessons 10-14). Catalog and Advantage+ sales, lead ads for B2B and SaaS, Click-to-WhatsApp and Messenger, Threads and WhatsApp Status, then special ad categories, policy and account quality.
Testing, reporting and ops (lessons 15-20). Attribution and Conversion Lift, a creative testing framework, GA4 and Looker Studio reporting, the overlap with AI search discovery, delivery troubleshooting, and a monthly review routine.
04Who is this track for?
Performance marketers, demand gen and growth leads, ecommerce managers, B2B and SaaS marketers, marketing ops people who own the Pixel, and agency account managers who have to explain why Advantage+ changed the account last quarter. Some of you live in Ads Manager every day. Others only open it when leadership asks why CAC moved. This track covers both.
Each lesson has a Ledgerline worked example. Ledgerline is a fictional accounts-payable software company that competes with four rivals, called Competitor A to Competitor D. Each lesson also has a walkthrough, an exercise and a short quiz.
05What do you need?
- A Meta Business Manager with an ad account, a Facebook Page and an Instagram professional account you are allowed to advertise from.
- Admin or advertiser access on the ad account, plus Events Manager access for lessons 6 and 7.
- For lessons 6 and 7, a website where you can install the Pixel (directly or through Google Tag Manager) and, ideally, a server path for the Conversions API.
- For lesson 10, a Commerce Manager catalog if you sell products.
- For lessons 12 and 13, a WhatsApp Business account linked to Business Manager if you want messaging destinations.
- For lesson 17, a GA4 property and, optionally, Looker Studio (Data Studio) (shipping soon).
- Edit rights on Ads Manager. Analyst-only access is not enough for the exercises.
Our view: most Meta accounts underperform because of thin creative libraries and weak server events, not because Advantage+ is "too automated." Fix the signal and the creative diversity first. Bid caps and placement exclusions come later.
