Short answer

This free track teaches marketers to use ChatGPT for real work: choosing a plan, prompting well, setting up projects and skills, and running research, content, ads, SEO and analysis, plus how brands get found in ChatGPT search. Each lesson has copyable prompts, a worked example and sources checked against OpenAI's own pages.

Key takeaways
  • Start with lessons 1-4 to set up plans, prompting, projects and skills.
  • Lessons 5-17 cover marketing jobs, from strategy to a 75-prompt library.
  • Lessons 18-20 cover risk, how brands get cited in ChatGPT search and how to measure it.
  • Custom GPTs retire in December 2026; lesson 4 covers the move to plugins.
  • Complete the track to earn the MentionX Certified: ChatGPT for Marketers certificate.

Checked 4 November 2026 (CET) against OpenAI help center articles and chatgpt.com pages. ChatGPT changes often, so confirm plan details in your own account. "Our view" marks MentionX opinion. Ledgerline is a fictional company used for illustration.

01What's in the track?

02How is the track organised?

Part 1: Foundations (lessons 1–4). Plans and features, prompt frameworks, custom instructions, memory and projects, and custom GPTs and skills your team can share.

Part 2: Strategy and content (lessons 5–8). Positioning, market and audience research, blogs, landing pages and ads, and image generation for campaigns.

Part 3: Analysis and automation (lessons 9–13). Data analysis on exports, deep research, ChatGPT Work, connected apps and scheduled tasks.

Part 4: Channel playbooks (lessons 14–17). SEO, paid social and ChatGPT Ads, B2B demand gen and a 75-prompt library by role.

Part 5: Quality and AI visibility (lessons 18–20). Accuracy and brand risk, how ChatGPT search cites brands, and tracking ChatGPT referral traffic and mentions.

03Who is it for?

Marketers in content, SEO, paid media, product marketing and demand gen who use ChatGPT already and want repeatable workflows, plus team leads deciding plans and policies. No coding is needed.

04How should you take it?

Do lessons 1-4 in order; they set up everything later lessons rely on. If your team also uses Claude, the Claude prompt library and measuring brand visibility in Claude pair well with lessons 17 and 20. Then jump to the lessons for your role. Each ends with a short checklist so you finish with something working, not just notes.

Our view: the biggest gains come from setup (a brand project, a fact sheet, a few skills), not from clever prompts. Lessons 3 and 4 are worth the time.
